This Christian life is combat, and just like physical war, we get wounded and experience trauma – emotionally, physically, and mentally. During my Christian walk I’ve noticed several parallels between serving God and serving in the military.
I have seen and felt the crippling effects of war on both sides, both while deployed overseas and during spiritual warfare. Both require encouragement, uplifting, edification, nutrition, and healing from our Lord and Savior and from our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Scarred, bruised, and broken for several years, I painfully searched the world looking for an answer. My cracks, quirks, and imperfections eventually led me to a radical encounter with Jesus that has forever changed my life.
